Stingray Self-Rising Water Dam

Adaptive Surface Flood Control with Stingray™ Water Dams in Lee County

For areas with mixed surfaces or unpredictable terrain, Lee Flood Protection offers the Stingray™ Self-Deploying Water Dam—an intelligent, flexible flood control solution that conforms to nearly any surface type. Made from tough PVC, the Stingray system is designed for ease of use across concrete, gravel, grass, or mixed environments.

As water enters the barrier’s internal pockets, the system anchors itself with the added weight, using water to create its own ballast. The combination of non-slip fabric and underside traction strips ensures the dam remains firmly in place—even on slick or uneven ground.

As more water flows in, pressure naturally forms the barrier into a V-shape, maximizing stability while stopping and redirecting the water’s path. This self-activating flood control system is perfect for rapid deployment around buildings, infrastructure, and low-lying zones in Lee County.

Rises With Flow of Oncoming Water

Features

1) Weighted Front Strip – Built in weights keep the unit in place when deployed.

2) Partitions – Reinforced ribbing provides additional strength when water enters the flood dam.

3) Flotation Section – Top Section has a layer of embedded foam to provide flotation, further assisting in the opening of the Stingray water pockets.

4) Back Flap with Grommet Holes – Ability to stake down units to keep in place.

5) Non-Slip Bottom – Located on the underside of the unit, the non-slip bottom prevents slipping to provide further stability.

6) Velcro Closure – Easily connect multiple units together with our industrial strength velcro.

How It Works

1) Unfold Stingray in Desired Location

2) Water Flow Enters Barrier Pockets and Begins to Open Into a V-Shape

3) Stingray is Open and Holding Back Water
